Charter The Wattle
Up to 55 people can be accommodated on the ST Wattle with seating proved for all passengers.
Canvas awnings fitted with roll-side curtains ensure total weather protection, although cruises into the bay are conducted strictly on calm waters only.
Enjoy the gleaming teak decks and burnished brass while passing all the sites and sounds that make Melbourne the most livable city in Australia!
Visit the Wattle's bridge and meet one of her dedicated captains. One of them, Captain Dick Francis, has been at sea for over 50 years!
Take a turn at the helm, go below deck and see the working parts powering this veteran steamship through the water.
There is even room for a small band on the covered deck, and charters can be fully and professionally catered for, or BYO if that suits your relaxed party atmosphere.

ST Wattle will lead the procession from Sandringham to Williamstown, reintroducing the history of steam and the Steam Tug Wattle to a whole new generation. May 2008 Available for functions, charters, private parties, corporate events, special celebrations and occasions, down the Yarra River and around Port Phillip Bay.

Christmas 2008 to end of January 2009 The Wattle will be based at Sorrento Pier doing tours in the area such as, the South Channel Fort and Point Nepean.

Individual charters can be structured and quoted to suit your needs, budget and numbers. They can be arranged from two hour duration up to four hours or more.
A typical charter leaves Victoria Dock and travels down the Yarra River, exploring the busy Swanston Dock area along the way.
You then pass under the Westgate Bridge giving you an unusual view of a Melbourne icon, and tehn emerging into Hobsons Bay.
From there, travelling at a leisurely and relaxed pace and with the skyline of Melbourne as your backdrop, you explore places of interest such as Williamstown, Webb Dock and Station Pier.
